Description Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our client's team in Portland, Oregon. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of health insurance verifications and authorizations. Responsibilities: • Review and verify patient insurance coverage to ensure eligibility for services. • Coordinate and obtain insurance authorizations and referrals as required. • Ensure prompt payment by accurately processing insurance claims and addressing discrepancies. • Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to resolve insurance-related issues. • Maintain detailed and organized records of insurance verifications and authorizations. • Utilize Epic EMR to manage patient insurance information and documentation. • Stay updated on health insurance policies, procedures, and coverage options. • Communicate effectively with insurance companies to clarify coverage and payment terms. • Support the billing team in resolving payment delays or denials. Requirements • Proven experience in medical insurance verification and authorization processes. • Strong knowledge of health insurance coverage and payment procedures. • Proficiency in using Epic EMR or similar electronic medical record systems is a plus. • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives. • Familiarity with insurance referrals and claims processing. • High level of attention to detail and accuracy. • Problem-solving skills to address insurance-related challenges effectively.
