Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Bronx, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of insurance claims processing within the healthcare and insurance sectors. This position requires strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills to address complex insurance-related inquiries. Responsibilities: • Coordinate with insurance providers to verify policy coverage and explain benefits to clients. • Secure pre-authorizations for services, collect co-payments, and accurately record payments. • Investigate claims by gathering evidence, reviewing documentation, and assessing damages or injuries. • Prepare detailed reports and process claims to ensure timely disbursement of funds. • Maintain compliance with insurance regulations and organizational policies. • Communicate with clients to address questions or concerns regarding their claims. • Utilize insurance software programs effectively to manage claims and documentation. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline insurance verification processes. • Monitor claim progress and follow up on unresolved cases to ensure timely resolutions. Requirements • Proven experience in insurance claims processing within healthcare or related industries. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for evaluating claims and policy coverage. • Proficiency with insurance claims software and general computer applications. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and providers. • Ability to manage data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency. • Familiarity with pre-authorization and payment collection processes. • Basic office skills, including organization and time management. • Knowledge of insurance regulations and industry standards.
