Insurance Program Sr. Compliance/HR Specialist
Description Summary: The Insurance Program Senior Compliance HR Specialist position is responsible for delivering the Employee Benefits Compliance suite of services directly to clients in conjunction with Employee Benefits Consultants and Service team members. Duties and Responsibilities: + Perform Full Scope (on-site Mock Audits) and Limited Scope compliance reviews for clients. + Plan Document preparation services (in-house), including carrier certificate review to determine discrepancies in plan provisions as well as plan administration review for compliance deficiencies in overall welfare benefit program of our clients + HIPAA Services – Facilitate HIPAA services on behalf of self-funded clients + Coordinate Development of Colleague Knowledge Base and Education Resources + Serve as product expert and technical resource + Coordinate or conduct webinars and education opportunities relative to compliance, health care reform and related topics + Analyze legislative and regulatory information and provide timely alerts, newsletters and other communications relative to compliance, health care reform and related topics + Participate in development of employee benefits strategic vision as requested + Collaborate with Colleagues on Employee Benefits Questions + Provide guidance to other team members as needed + Manage Implementation and Utilization of Designated Resources + Develop and maintain relationships with vendors + Act as relationship manager for designated products + Oversee and promote utilization of designated employee benefits tools and resources + Identify client and colleague needs and source solutions, tools, resources and value added services + Record updates on goal achievements as indicated throughout year + Represent Huntington Insurance as a product and technical expert staying current with industry changes, trends and opportunities + Maintain and develop product knowledge through participation in educational opportunities + Act as a resource for continuous improvement initiatives.
