The Nutmeg Insurance Agency is an internal agency of The Hartford, dedicated to delivering a personalized experience to both new and existing customers. When The Hartford cannot meet a customer’s needs directly, Nutmeg leverages partnerships with specialty carriers to provide alternative insurance solutions.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Nutmeg Agency Consultant will be responsible for:
+ Delivering comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to customer needs
+ Evaluating risk
+ Confidently asking for the sale while overcoming objections
+ Servicing our existing book of business

WORK FORMAT
This is a 100% remote position.
SCHEDULE
Training Program:
+ Start Date: 10/27
+ Duration: 8 weeks
+ Training timelines may vary based on business needs and individual progress; flexibility is appreciated.
+ Please note that time off during training is not accommodated.
Training Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm Eastern.
Post-Training Hours: Monday - Friday 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm Eastern.
Assigned working hours are subject to change depending on operational requirements.
COMPENSATION
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$50,160 - $75,240
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Personal Lines (PL) or Property & Casualty (P&C) license required, must maintain all required state licenses and terminate prior carrier appointments as needed
+ 2+ years' insurance experience
+ Comfort with negotiating and overcoming objections
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while navigating multiple systems
+ Capacity to stay agile amidst the constantly changing insurance industry.
+ Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively
+ High speed broadband cable internet service with minimum upload/download speeds of 100MB download/10MB upload. + This is a customer-facing role requiring your full attention. A distraction free environment is essential.
