Insurance Business Analyst

About The Role

We’re seeking a Business Analyst to join our Operations & Analytics team, supporting key decision-makers with actionable insights and efficient dashboard solutions. What You’ll Do

 Oversee all reporting and analysis for our personal insurance division (including retention reports, customer data analysis, year-over-year analysis, new business, etc.)Maintain, update, and enhance dashboards using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for leadership and finance teams.Perform monthly analyses of financial metrics, including organic growth and new business trends, delivering insights to unit leaders.Reconcile and upload data from multiple sources into visualization tools, ensuring consistency with corporate financial systems.Prepare revenue forecasts and year-end projections to support business planning.Create and maintain automated processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts across reporting workflows.Provide ad hoc analysis and collaborate on special projects to support business objectives.

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

1-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role, ideally with exposure to Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities (Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA, etc.)Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools, with a focus on creating impactful dashboards and reportsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environmentA growth mindset with a drive to learn, collaborate, and innovateStrong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with leadership, finance, and other departmentsPost-secondary education in Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field is an assetWe may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as coding or MS Office) at our office
