Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire control in Dallas, TX is seeking a skilled Electronics Instrumentation Technician to to join our team at the Supersonic Wind Tunnel Facility in Dallas, TX. In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge aerospace testing, assisting in the operation and maintenance of high-speed wind tunnel (HSWT) equipment that supports critical research and development for supersonic flight. Working under the guidance of our Lead Engineer and Lab Manager, you’ll apply your electronics expertise to ensure the accuracy and reliability of testing systems, while supporting a wide range of mechanical and electrical instrumentation tasks.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will assist in operating and maintaining the High-Speed Wind Tunnel (HSWT) Laboratory and its equipment supporting testing and test preparation. The position requires a general knowledge of laboratory operations and test practices, electrical equipment, electronic test equipment, and familiarity with engineering terminology.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Utilizing strong electronics skills and ability to read schematics and fabricate electronics hardware from them
• Maintaining accurate operations and stock inventory records in computer databases
• Monitoring test equipment and wind tunnel instrumentation and control systems to ensure accurate test results to avoid damage to the test facility, instrumentation, or wind tunnel models
• Interfacing with multiple computer systems for controlling the acquisition and processing of electronic data signals
• Installation of wind tunnel models, test specimens, instrumentation-- as well as a variety of specialized mechanical, electrical and electronic test equipment
• Providing support in the planning and implementation of preventive maintenance of equipment and participate in troubleshooting of laboratory systems
Must be willing to work night or rotating shifts as well as overtime.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. An interim secret clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience operating equipment for electrical data signal acquisition such as volt meters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
• Demonstrated, troubleshooting of laboratory and electrical systems
• Ability to monitor test equipment, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure accurate test results and avoid damage to the test facility
• Soldering experience with small surface mount components
• Interim Secret clearance required to start
• Ability to perform calibration procedures requiring repetitive lifting of weights in 5 lb. to 25 lb. increments
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Soldering experience at J-STD-001 class 3 level
• Demonstrated knowledge of strain gauge lay-up techniques
• Performing gauge lay-up and wiring of specimen under a microscope
• Trade school certification or associates degree with electronic systems focus

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
