As a Instrumentation Specialist you will responsible for carrying out entrusted work, adequately applying the knowledge and techniques to achieve reliable and repetitive results, making use of the appropriate equipment for each test or activity required, complying with the Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
The areas that directly influence are:
Quality Assurance Liquid Paint.
Quality system.
Technical Laboratory.
Technical Service to the different SBU's.
You will report to Liquid Painting QC Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate the measurement system of the liquid paint quality area by applying statistical studies indicated in the MSA (Measurement System Analysis) such as Bias, Linearity, Stability, and Repeatability and Reproducibility Studies. (GRR) then analyze and apply adjustment actions and improvements to the system in the reduction of variability to obtain repetitive and reliable results.
Accomplish in Time, the calibration programs established for maintaining the measuring instruments, to comply with the internal requirements of the quality systems of the plant and of the clients.
Manage measurement instruments with the use of software to maintain the necessary records of each instrument and obtain reliability and control of each instrument.
Verify customer measurement systems with the use of a calendar schedule to reduce rejections of materials in the customer's line reduce the variability of results of the pre-shipments and test results issued in the COAS that are sent to the customers and with these actions, obtain reliable results and customer satisfaction.
Manage the purchase of new measuring instruments and acquire the accessories and auxiliary materials necessary to maintain the operation of the department's measuring instruments.
Coordinated work with the customer's color team in the application of MSA statistical studies to the customer's color measurement systems.
Accomplish the internal verification programs to ensure that external calibration is maintained according to established schedules, to keep the equipment in operating conditions.
Coordinate the training and certification of skills of liquid paint quality personnel.
Ensure that the equipment used is in good condition, through an inspection of the facilities and their labels, which must comply with the corresponding verification and calibration.
Elaborate the master calibration plan to ensure monthly visits to different sites
Maintain the calibration periods, notifying the risks.Maintain the historical data for operating supplies, calibrations and maintenance program.
Qualifications
Engineering.
Instrumentalist/Knowledge of ISO/IEC17025, ASTM, DIN and ISO standards and others.
IATF auditor certified.
+2 years in paint knowledge and Paint Test Evaluation.
Basic and intermediate Statistics knowledge
Intermediated English.
Computer Programs (Office Package) Statistical software as JMP, MinitabMSA studies (GR&R, Bias, Linearity).
