Chevron is accepting online applications for the position **Instrumentation Reliability Analyst** through **08/01/2025** at **11:59 p.m.** ( **PT** ).
The Instrumentation Reliability Analyst collaborates across multiple levels of the organization, and with multi-discipline teams from Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and Reliability disciplines. The position will provide reliability focused expertise to area business units to improve asset utilization, production efficiency and environmental compliance through teamwork, analytical tools, and existing work processes.
**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:**
+ Complex instrumentation troubleshooting – support maintenance and operations teams during troubleshooting efforts for high criticality equipment outages focusing on restoring the equipment and plants to service while finding long-term fixes to best prevent reoccurrences.
+ Root Cause Failure Analysis – Support formal loss investigations involving instrumentation issues or failures.
+ Analysis of repeat instrumentation failures and work with operations, maintenance and technical to implement solutions to resolve.
+ May supports the refineries Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
+ Develops, updates, and maintains instrumentation asset strategies. Applies industry and corporate standards to apply appropriate Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities. Creates or revises PMs, job guidelines, or procedures for equipment.
+ Supports Technical and Capital Project groups from a Design for Reliability (DFR) and constructability perspective.
+ Support Turnaround activities. Prepare timely recommendations for the recommended turnaround work process and develop work packages.
+ Analyzes and documents critical instrumentation history for assigned areas and provides reliability improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent
+ Valid Driver's license
+ Minimum 5 years of instrumentation experience in a refinery, chemical plant, or heavy industrial plant.
+ Working experience with various instrumentation types and technologies
+ Must be familiar with applicable codes and regulations pertaining to I, E & A construction.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Shows good interpersonal skills, respects diversity, and communicates well verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical team members.
+ Displays a high level of ownership and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
+ Strong understanding of professional and personal safety.
+ IBEW or trade school in electrical / instrumentation certification.
+ Experienced with Safety Instrumented Systems.
+ Capable of using databases and storing electronic data as well as understanding Excel and Word computer programs.
+ Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring schematics, and loop drawings.
**Relocation Options** :
Relocation **may be** considered.
**International Considerations:**
Expatriate assignments **will not be** considered.
**Special Considerations:**
+ This role is located at the Richmond Refinery and follows a 4-10 work schedule.
+ This position is eligible to earn "compensatory time" in accordance with Refinery policy during exceptional work periods such as turnaround support and significant unplanned events.

+ The anticipated salary range for this position is $116,800– $200,400. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
