Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will perform routine and repetitive disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing installation and maintenance on equipment of limited complexity. You will operate automatic and standalone test equipment in order to test and troubleshoot. You will use standard hand tools and a variety of test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters and power supplies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have demonstrated the ability to perform the following tasks: 1) Performs routine and repetitive disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, installation and maintenance on equipment of limited complexity such as subassemblies, printed circuit cards, and chassis to complete electronics systems. 2) Working practice with electronic theory as well as a working knowledge of mathematics pertaining to the electronic field. 3) Using hand tools common to the electrical; electromechanical, dimensional, optical and electronic instruction mechanic trades, in addition to having knowledge of basic mathematics to perform measurements and calculations. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
