Job Title: Instrument Operator
Job Description

Join our team as an Instrument Operator where you will work outdoors as a party chief helper. Your primary responsibilities will involve gathering field survey data using Trimble GPS units and collaborating with fellow surveyors. You will be engaged in property surveys and construction staking.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily tasks with the Field Crew Coordinator and Project Manager/Coordinator to ensure successful completion of assignments.Communicate effectively with clients, construction personnel, local authorities, and the general public as needed.Assume responsibility for the crew's safety, efficiency, work quality, performance, and equipment.Record all work performed and conditions encountered clearly, accurately, and thoroughly using established company procedures and formats.Review information and analyze data to identify any errors or omissions, resolving them with office personnel prior to completion.Work quickly and efficiently to ensure tasks are completed on time.Perform all duties carefully to ensure all tasks are completed as accurately as possible.Prioritize the safety of all persons and property at all times.Operate total stations, levels, and GPS.Essential Skills1+ year of survey experienceProficiency in operating Trimble GPS unitsExperience with construction staking and survey techniquesAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with title and tree surveys is beneficialFamiliarity with Trimble Robotics is advantageousWork Environment

The role involves working in an outdoor setting, gathering data and submitting files to the survey office for further review and design. No travel is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
