Instrument Maintenance Technician I

Airswift is searching for a Instrument Maintenance Technician to work near Big Lake, TX on a long-term contract.

Role Overview

Install and maintain instrument equipment in compliance with all rules and practices. Plan, update, and oversee activities according to laws, regulations, and standards with a focus on health, safety, and the environment. Support team efforts between operations, engineering, and projects groups. Provide input and review control specifications and work practices. Ensure quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the Maintenance Program. Develop personal and team technical skills related to new regulations and equipment. Attend and instruct technical meetings to keep technicians informed of specifications and procedures. Maintain open communications on control issues with co-workers. Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument systems. Generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) for control-related equipment. Construct, monitor, and inspect new installations for consistency with mission objectives. Act as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead position as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with regulations applicable to oil and gas facility operations. Knowledge of OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures. Safety-oriented with strong communication skills. Good organizational and reporting skills with attention to detail. Proficient troubleshooting and analytical skills. Computing skills relevant to the position.

Education & Experience

Minimum grade 12 or equivalent high school education, preferably enhanced by technical school courses. Experience in maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing or offshore production plants.
