**Job Overview:**
The Instrument Fitter Senior Superintendent position demands a comprehensive understanding of Instrument Fitter principles, leadership in workforce management, and familiarity with a broad range of disciplines including compliance, risk management, and logistics. The Instrument Fitter Senior Superintendent must leverage extensive industry experience to enhance productivity, mentor others, influence company-wide processes and policies for workforce management, and resolve multifaceted technical, operational, and organizational issues that affect project delivery and success.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee the execution and strategic planning of instrumentation fitting operations across multiple projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with design specifications, and integration with overall project objectives
+ Champion a culture of safety excellence, developing comprehensive safety plans tailored to instrumentation work and ensuring adherence to all industry and regulatory HSE standards
+ Provide expert guidance on the selection, installation, testing, and maintenance of sophisticated instrumentation and control systems
+ Lead a team of superintendents/supervisors and instrument fitters, setting performance standards, facilitating professional development, and fostering a collaborative work environment
+ Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align instrumentation activities with project milestones and resource allocation
+ Conduct thorough quality assurance checks and system validations to confirm the integrity and reliability of instrumentation installations
+ Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and services within budgetary constraints
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives, staying abreast of technological advancements in instrumentation and introducing best practices to enhance operational efficiency
+ Mentor and manage a team of Instrument Fitters and supervisors, fostering professional growth, skill development, and high-performance standards
+ Be involved with the training/talent department in developing training course to ensure the upskilling of the workforce
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Advanced degree or equivalent in Instrumentation Technology, Industrial Automation, or related engineering discipline, with specialized certifications in instrumentation fitting
+ Extensive experience in industrial instrumentation within the construction or manufacturing sectors, with significant tenure in leadership roles overseeing complex projects
+ Comprehensive understanding of advanced instrumentation and control systems, including their application in various industrial processes
+ Proven leadership in managing HSE practices, with a record of implementing effective safety programs in high-risk environments
+ Exceptional management skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of professionals
+ Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
+ Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing technical challenges and optimizing project outcomes
+ Flexibility to work across different sites, including potential offshore or remote locations, and adapt to varying work hours as required by project demands
