Instrument & Control Engineer–PM optimization
Job Requirements

Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

An Instrument Maintenance Engineer will act as a PM Optimization Engineer who will be a technical resource in performing/Validating criticality and assigning strategies for all equipment’s in oil & gas plant.

Instrumentation / Process Engineering, Reviewing Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Instrument Location Diagrams, Instrument Data Sheet, Instrument Installation Drawing and Cable Schedule.

Maintenance of field Instruments and knowledge of Calibration of all field instruments

Knowledge of control systems like: Distributed Control System,   PLC based Emergency shutdown systems, PLC based Fire Detection and Alarm systems,

Installation, calibration, commissioning and maintenance of field Instruments: Control valves, Motor operated Actuators, Remote Operated Shut off Valves, Transmitters, Flame/hydrocarbon gas detectors, Ultrasonic Flow meters, Pressure/temperature gauges.

Reviewing Cause & Effect chart and preparation/reviewing of ESD logics of plc.

Preparation of Maintenance plan and schedule Viz. Preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and breakdown maintenance schedule for various Instruments.

Must perform Criticality Assessment.Able to perform Risk Assessment.

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering 5 to 15 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical/ LNG and oil & gas industries

Knowledge in Reliability Centred Maintenance & FMEA, preferably in Meridium and/or criticality assessment

Participated in HAZOP.

PM optimization

Working experience in SAP, PM and MM Modules knowledge is preferred.

Fluent English written and oral communication / interpersonal skills

Experience with P&IDs, equipment data sheets, interpreting vendor manuals, 

Good interpersonal skills and working collaboratively with the -other teams

Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired/ Must have skills:

Exposure to Upstream Facilities Engineering activities

Experience with SharePoint for document management

Experience with Meridium

Experience with SAP/Maximo
