KBR is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to join our team on site in Chantilly, VA. An active TS/SCI with poly is required. The ISD will develop curriculums, learning objectives, course materials, and job aides for in-person or virtual or web-based training courses, using programs of instruction or material approved by the client. This includes workshops, seminars, and in-person training and virtual programs. This may include the maintenance, updating, or development of current training course topics as well as the development of future training courses.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct training needs analysis.

Develop/revise curriculum, learning objectives, course materials, and job aides.

Maintain and update current course content and training support materials to include relevant hands-on training aids.

Develop new course content, programs, and relevant training support materials.

Develop criteria and methodology for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.

Continuously revise training materials, course content and training aids based on evaluations of training and new or emerging capabilities/techniques or requirements to ensure course relevancy.

Required Qualifications:

An Active TS/SCI with Poly is required for consideration.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, eLearning Development, Adult or Secondary Education, Educational Psychology, or other relevant educational degree.

Minimum of five years’ previous experience in designing and developing formal workforce training programs.

Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and related frameworks.

Demonstrated development of assessments, such as tests, rubrics, or checklists.

Experience applying the ADDIE methodology.

Experience in developing training for modalities including In-Person Instructor-Led, eLearning, Web Based Training (WBT) and Computer Based Training (CBT), and synchronous and asynchronous distance learning programs.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams) and Adobe applications.

Experienced in curriculum development using software such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work efficiently by prioritizing project, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines.

Ability to work alongside an ISD with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in developing learning solutions for IC agencies.

Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work flexible schedules as necessary.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Strong attention to detail.

Familiarity with Section 508 compliance standards.

Familiarity with SCORM - conformant content.
