Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and develop training materials (e-learning modules, instructor-led training, virtual training, job aids, and assessments).Analyze training needs and create curriculum plans aligned with jet engine and avionics technologies.Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to develop effective learning experiencesCreate interactive and multimedia content using tools such as Articulate or Captivate.Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards and regulations.Evaluate the training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.Maintain and update training materials to reflect advancements in jet engine/avionic technology.Integrate emerging technologies, such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), into training programs.Support instructors and Subject Matter Experts delivering training sessionsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Aviation, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years full time experience in instructional design, ideally in aerospace or aviation.This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.Desired Characteristics
Experience with SCORMExperience with aviation regulatory training requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).Knowledge of lean methodologies or continuous improvement practices.Familiarity with virtual training environments and simulation tools.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.Familiarity with jet engine/avionics technology and maintenance processes.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
