Area of specialization is open, but an ability to teach introductory U.S. and World Geography, along with Physical Geography, is required. The base teaching load at A&M-SA is 4/4 . Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed. Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Required Education and Experience: + Ph.D. required in Geography or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution by the time of appointment. + A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in history. + University teaching experience commensurate with the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor. + Availability to teach in-person classes. Preferred Education and Experience: + ArcGIS Experience. + Human and/or Urban Geography. + Physical Geography and Meteorology. + Ability to teach upper division Geography courses in the field of specialization. + Active research agenda in the field of specialization.
