About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Specialist


In this role, you will:

Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvementsAssist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issuesAssist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issueProvide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiativesReview and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverablePresent recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiativesCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Responsibilities to include:

Support the lifecycle of Institutional trades while managing a larger group or multiple groups covering the following functions; T0 Blotter checks, Investigation & resolution of  exceptions from Internal & external reconciliations for OTC & Listed Derivative asset class, monitoring various queues, performing key trade life cycle functions such as  trade affirmations, allocations & validation, producing key metrics & varied reporting.Demonstrate good understanding of financial products & middle office controls.Knowledge of key regulations impacting the financial markets ( Dodd frank)Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control developmentCollaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organizationMake decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectivesInterpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexityManage and develop team of individual contributors and managers working on complex issuesCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managersLead team to achieve objectives and strategyManage allocation of people and financial resources for Institutional Investment Operations groupMentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talentAbility to accurately process high volumes of work within established deadlinesDemonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness in all areas, foster teamwork

Essential Qualifications

University degree/Post graduation in Business /Accounts/Economics/Stats.8 to 2 +years of experience in the institutional Investment Banking OperationsWorking knowledge of the either of functions ex: Middle office Operations, Product control, trade & sales support, trader/sales assistant.Good understanding of Middle office controls, daily risk & PnLWilling to work in EMEA & US Shift.Ability to work in a fast paced environment and time constraintsStrong communication skills

Desired Qualifications

Experiences should include familiarity with Investment industry and practices in the Financial Services industry as well as operational delivery experienceAnalytic thinker who likes to solve problems with strong attention to detailAnalyst should have strong numerical and analytical skills, strong articulation and out of box thinking.Good problem solving, analytical and numerical skills
