Installation Tech- Fusion Pipe

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Installation Tech

This is a traveling role that will support the North Dakota/ South Dakota Region.  Our ideal candidate must live within easy commuting distance of locations in Fargo, ND, Bismark, ND or Sioux Falls, SD.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and some overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

Inspects work for defects, dimensions, alignment, end preparations, and seam splits in pipeMaintain a clean and safe machine station while conforming to Ferguson’s standards of quality and performanceReports all equipment malfunctions, safety issues, and required repairsAccurately measure, record, and add random pipe lengthFollow proper procedures for measuring and cutting pipe with various sawsability to move loose and /or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yardRead blueprints.Assemble pipe orders whether in single sticks or bundles and maintain work supplies in an organized mannerOperate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating proceduresPreform live watermain tapsGeneral warehousing when not on fusion or tapping jobsTravel for job in state and out of state.Work with customer and vendors.May be responsible for providing back-up driver duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

3+ years mechanical machine experience requiredMust live in Sioux Falls, SD, Bismarck, ND or Fargo, NDPrior Fabrication experience is strongly preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalismDesire to learn new thingsThe ability to thrive in an inclusive environmentPrior experience in operating McElroy equipment in fusing HDPE / Fusible PVC pipe and fittings preferredAccurate training in the use of machines and fusion of HDPE &FPVC will be providedMust be at least 21 years of age.Travel to other states.Valid state issued license is required.Possession of a DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.

Pay Range:

$16.46 - $26.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
