Join us. **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of various construction projects throughout the region. + Conduct thorough inspections of civil engineering projects, including buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure + Verify compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications + Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommendations + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address any issues or non-conformities + Perform regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality + Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical specifications + Ensure proper implementation of safety protocols on construction sites + Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and project documentation + Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices in civil engineering + Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements **Qualifications** + High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred + Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region for inspection projects + Proven experience in civil engineering inspection or related field + In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction methods + Familiarity with local and international building codes and safety regulations + Proficiency in using various inspection tools and equipment + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records + Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications + Physical fitness to perform field inspections in various environmental conditions + Relevant industry certifications, such as FHWA-NHI-130055 or 130056 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges, are highly desirable + Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and inspection software + Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously + Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity and ethics **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
