JOB PURPOSE:

To conduct inspections at customer facilities/sites including the collection of samples for laboratory analysis in a safe and ethical manner in line with international and industry recognised standards. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct inspections (ship and shore tank gauging, tank inspections, draft surveys, container inspections etc.) and collect samples in conformance with established methods, instructions, and quality standards Conduct inspections using a range of methods, techniques and equipment ensuring that data and results are accurately recorded in accordance with Company and international standards and procedures Ensure preparation of all equipment prior to conducting inspections including calibration and verification to ensure equipment is in good operating condition, and ensure equipment is cleaned and stored as per Company procedures Report faulty equipment to relevant stakeholders for timely resolution and replacement and ensure faulty equipment is labelled and processed as per Company policies and procedures  Label sample containers with full and correct identifying data, including location of sample, material, type of sample, safety information, time collected, etc. Verify the accuracy of data, including measurements and calculations conducted at inspection sites Record and share inspection results/findings with relevant stakeholders (i.e., Coordinator, Operations Manager etc.) in a timely manner and support the production of inspection reports describing procedures/methodology used and present results in an appropriate/required manner Develop and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritas’s tools for on-site reporting and immediate client access Research and review previous inspection findings/results, including documents, certificates, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data as needed for inspection services Keep abreast of changes in relevant standards and legislation relevant to inspection services Respond to customer queries as and when needed in line with Company procedures and standards Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSSE requirements using company policies and procedures as appropriate  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

*Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science discipline *Minimum of 2 (two) years of relevant experience *High school diploma with a minimum of 5 (five) years inspection/surveying experience can be considered for this role *(Selection is based on hiring Manager’s discretion)
