GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Join our team and play a crucial role in protecting Wyoming's natural resources! You'll be out in the field, ensuring oil and gas operations are safe and compliant. From a variety of hands-on inspections to data-driven reporting, you'll be making a real difference every day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level.
+ Ensure that operators comply with agency rules, orders, and permit stipulations through field investigations.
+ Provides technical assistance to public and private interests regarding regulations and practices.
+ Respond to complaints and disputes.
+ Provide investigation and/or documentation for non-compliance issues.
+ Interact with other state and federal agency officials.
+ Help provide input on new regulations when necessary.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to someone with 5+ years of Oil and Gas Industry experience.
Preference will be given to someone in the Big Horn Basin (Riverton/ Thermopolis/ Cody area).
KNOWLEDGE:
+ Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
+ Knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
+ Knowledge of methods and techniques of inspections and investigations.
+ Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Inspection)
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Inspection)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Works in hazardous conditions
