**Job Description**
Gilead is seeking a strategic and collaborative Medical Affairs Insight and Analytics Manager to lead the development of global insight capabilities and best practice, and centralize market research efforts. This role will support the capture, synthesis, and translation of insights across medical affairs and support cross functional connectivity.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Capability Building & Standardization**
+ Develop and implement a global insights capability framework including best practices, training, and governance.
+ Standardize research methodologies across affiliates and functions (e.g., segmentation, ATUs, message testing, journey research).
+ Lead onboarding and continuous improvement for field insight generation and curation processes.
**2. Market Research Centralization**
+ Consolidate market research efforts to reduce redundancy and increase transparency across enterprise-wide studies.
+ Build centralized repositories and tools for research reports, summaries, and strategic narratives.
+ Lead governance processes to prioritize research investments and ensure enterprise alignment.
**3. Insight Capture & Optimization**
+ Partner with Medical, Commercial, IT, and field teams to improve insight capture processes and data quality.
+ Design and implement global standards for insight tagging, classification, and routing.
+ Analyze insights at scale to extract strategic trends, unmet needs, and cross-functional opportunities.
+ Collaborate with CRM and platform teams to enhance functionality and user experience.
**4. Strategic Insight Leadership**
+ Translate fragmented insight signals into clear narratives that inform brand planning, medical strategy, and launch excellence.
+ Build insight-to-impact reporting models to demonstrate how insights influence decisions and deliver value.
+ Lead strategic synthesis efforts for priority brands, therapy areas, or enterprise themes.
**5. Analytics Enablement for Insight Generation**
+ Partner with analytics teams to define data requirements and build scalable models that support insight generation.
+ Develop dashboards and reporting tools that integrate field insights, market research, and secondary data.
+ Ensure alignment between insight capture processes and analytics infrastructure to enable real-time decision support.
+ Support KPI development and tracking to measure the impact of insights on strategic initiatives.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
+ 6+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech insights, market research, or analytics roles with global or regional scope.
+ Proven success in leading cross-functional insight initiatives and capability-building programs.
+ Strong grasp of qualitative and quantitative research methods and vendor ecosystems.
+ High fluency in navigating matrix organizations and driving alignment across Commercial, Medical, and IT teams.
+ Strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
The salary range for this position is:
Bay Area: $136,340.00 - $176,440.00.
Other US Locations: $123,930.00 - $160,380.00.
Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
