Inside Service Parts Lead – Growth Track (Sales /Operations/ Customer Support)

We are looking for a technically minded and motivated early-career professional to join our team as an Inside Service Parts Specialist. This is a hands-on role focused on learning our products, supporting customers, and developing critical sales and operations skills.

You’ll start by building technical expertise in our parts business, with the opportunity to grow into future roles in Parts, Sales, Operations, or Customer Support leadership based on your performance and career interests. Explore the full range of opportunities in the career path outlined below.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage the Service Parts Team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.Oversee the Shipping and Receiving department to streamline operations.Develop deep product knowledge of the Marmon-Herrington product line, including bills of material and part functionality in the heavy truck market.Work cross-functionally with shop and office personnel to understand production processes and spare parts needs.Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement and enhance an e-commerce platform while optimizing resource allocation.Engage customers proactively to ensure their needs are met, follow up on quotations, and identify sales opportunities.Analyze customer buying patterns to identify missed opportunities and develop a strategic stocking plan aligned with organizational objectives and customer demands.Develop a competitive database to track industry trends, competitor offerings, and market gaps.Work with Procurement and Finance to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete (E&O) stock.Collaborated with OE sales and cross-functional teams to identify and pursue opportunities to re-engage customers with declining activity.Provide weekly activity reports to the Sales leadership on customer activity and development progress.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Sales/Marketing, or a related field preferred — equivalent hands-on experience also considered.1–5 years of professional experience in sales support, service parts, technical customer service, or related fields.Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn the heavy truck or automotive sector.Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.Self-starter with a customer-first attitude and drive to solve problems.Interest in growing in Parts, Sales, Operations, or Customer Support leadership roles over time.Willingness to occasionally travel for training or customer support needs.
