This role is responsible for the sale of clinical products and services primarily by using the telephone; but also using email, Internet, and other technology within a defined territory. The Inside Sales Representative builds significant customer relationships, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, drives market penetration, and targets profitability with the end goal of achieving revenue and profitability forecasts. 
 
What will you do? 

Develop and maintain customer relationships with purchasing and end users within assigned territory Independently make decisions, but also use available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to expand business in assigned territory; maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone, but face-to-face customer meetings may be required Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; Introduces our offerings Lead pricing within territory to control profitability Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for proper management of territory Connect with manager on any customer issues or potential problems; perform other tasks assigned  Advise customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations 

 
How will you get here? 
Education: 

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree; Science or Business degree strongly preferred. 

 
Responsibilities & Requirements: 

1+ years of sales experience required - clinical lab experience strongly preferred Strong interpersonal, oral & written communication, and presentation skills Consistent track record of establishing goals and achieving results Computer proficiency in MS Office and website navigation Excellent customer service engagement with a strong desire to serve the customer  Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet agreed upon timelines Must be willing to travel to customer sites, sales meetings and for training events, if needed Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I’s) – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
