Basic Job Functions:

The Inside Sales Representative works in a team environment to professionally represent the Nucor Steel Plate Group with team members and customers on a daily basis. This team member must handle all calls and requests for information in a professional manner while working accurately and timely. Other responsibilities include:

Coordinate with customers and team members across the Nucor Plate Group to sell and service customers. Provide appropriate pricing and availability to customers on inquires. Provide timely status updates to customers. Enter customer orders timely and accurately with attention to details.  Some travel will be required for customer visits, customer dinners, and industry functions.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:    Four-year degree or four years related work experience in service and sales. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the steel plate market Strong Customer Service Skills Knowledge of Oracle EBS  High level of proficiency using Microsoft Tools Willingness to travel
