WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this variety-filled role, you will assist customers and the sales team to ensure efficient and accurate processes and responses related to quotations, purchase orders, shipments, and other sales and customer service-related responsibilities. The Inside Sales Representative will take ownership of the quote- to- order process, which includes but is not limited to: Product and order research, product and order pricing, quote generation and tracking, order generation and tracking, and order expediting. Specifically, the role includes:
Take ownership of quote to order process, which includes but is not limited to: Product and order research, product and order pricing, quote generation and tracking, order generation and tracking, and order expediting. Process external customer request for quotations. Develop and deliver sales proposals based on appropriate pricing methods. This process could include calculating a list price based on product type and material, a review of comparable price histories, and check/ confirm current product costs with procurement or manufacturing engineers. Contact design engineering personnel as needed to resolve new product questions or concerns. Create quotations within Cook Compression ERP system and distribute them to customers. Enter quotation on computer, print and send it to customer. Follow-up with customer as necessary. Process purchase orders and carry out contract review process for new/repeat products and/or products returned for repair, rework or warranty claims. Review order for proper part number, quantity, correct pricing customer request date and coordinate special review of Engineering or Quality documentation requirements. Contact customers as needed to resolve any issues or obtain any missing information. Enter purchase orders on Cook Compression business system and release to manufacturing, quality or design engineering. Confer with manufacturing as needed to obtain answers to customer questions. Communicates internally with production planning, schedulers, engineering, factory managers and quality assurance personnel, as needed. Answer customer questions pertaining to shipping dates, shipping costs, tracking information and any special shipping instructions including international shipments. Work closely with accounting personnel regarding new customer information, invoicing problems or credit memos. Prepare sales and profitability reports to present to sales management. Take the initiative to analyze and improve service processes in order to reduce waste and improve customer experience. Facilitate internal meetings across departments as needed, serving as a liaison between the customer/external sales, and relevant Cook functions. Own the customer experience by ensuring customer satisfaction through service delivery, managing customer expectations actively and driving to increase our performance ratings and “Net Promoter Score.”WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; In lieu of degree, related work experience considered. Customer Service, Inside Sales or related experience required, preferably in manufacturing or machine shop environments. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to influence others. Highly organized with a track record of exceptional follow-up. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Strong sense of urgency. Proven client relationship and rapport-building skills. Team player and collaborative.
ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCES
Experience implementing process improvements; experience with LEAN or Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred. Experience with an ERP business system is highly desired. Knowledge of or experience with reciprocating compressors.
