**SUMMARY**
The Inside Sales Manager is directly responsible for training, directing, and developing inside sales representatives and customer service team members to ensure the financial success of the sales office. This leader must work collaboratively across departments—including production, engineering, and outside sales—to drive customer satisfaction, improve internal coordination, and support business growth.
This role requires a proactive, data-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build a customer-first culture from the inside out. The ISM will lead by example, set performance metrics, manage contract execution and onboarding, and serve as a central point of contact for all customer-facing activity. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on developing people, optimizing processes, and helping shape a high-impact sales organization.
This position is based near our primary manufacturing facility in Cerritos, California, and requires regular on-site presence and cross-functional collaboration.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
+ Lead, manage, and develop the Inside Sales and Customer Service team, creating a high-performance culture centered on customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and revenue growth
+ Serve as the go-to authority for customer engagement—owning all aspects of customer communication, onboarding, issue resolution, and long-term relationship management
+ Collaborate closely with Outside Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, and Sales Support to align strategies, support lead generation, and ensure a seamless customer experience
+ Coach, train, and mentor the inside sales force to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service effectiveness—fostering professional growth through individualized development plans
+ Establish and track performance metrics (KPIs) to monitor pipeline health, quote conversion, customer responsiveness, and overall departmental accountability
+ Maintain and grow a personal book of business while fulfilling leadership responsibilities across the inside sales function
+ Drive contract execution and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, internal capabilities, and compliance standards through detailed coordination and process ownership
+ Develop and implement strategic sales plans and annual department budgets in collaboration with the Director of Sales, including staffing plans, compensation models, and capital expenditure needs
+ Manage sales forecasts and pipeline performance with accuracy, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
+ Champion Amphenol CDI’s customer-first culture—acting as a brand ambassador, promoting corporate values, and ensuring the team reflects our reputation in the marketplace
+ Ensure compliance with all internal quality standards, customer expectations, and government regulations
+ Travel occasionally for corporate meetings, trainings, or customer visits as needed
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ BA/BS or equivalent
+ Five years of experience in a similar role, professional selling experience in the electro-mechanical components industry, preferably with high-value electronic connectors, a plus.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
As part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reaching at or below shoulder level, and keyboarding. **SALARY INFORMATION:**
According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $120,000 and $150,000 annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, AmphenolCDI considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.
