Inside Sales Engineer I

The objective of the Inside Sales Engineer I position is to help optimize our quote to cash service levels by quoting and primarily performing technical review. Under supervision, the Inside Sales Engineer I will provide support to specific outside sales and other members of the team. This role requires an interest in the mix of technical, customer service, and sales.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Generate and select model numbers based on customer’s specific data or application  With proper knowledge, develop quotations based on Emerson, customers, and representative’s requirements  Apply system tools to provide customer product application support and review solutions as required with the Inside /Field Sales Representatives  Review quotes for technical conformance as in valid model options, configuration ranges, documentation options, and device compatibility to application  Participate in all aspects of preparing the quotation package and ensure that it is sent to the customer. This includes the technical, commercial, and competitive strategy appropriate for the selling opportunity  Follow up on sent proposals to increase sales hit rate for specific customers  Perform technical review of orders to ensure the processing of correct product(s) and the availability of all the technical requirements and documentation needed by the factory and or customer  Maintain a good working knowledge of Emerson quotation tools and pricing policies; is responsible to continually enhance knowledge of Automation Solution products, applications, and industries served Understand and consistently apply Emerson commercial policies and business practices related to quote entry  Ensure compliance with import/export, contract, and government requirements. Screen orders for compliance with the business unit Terms and Conditions, agreements and standards  Provide backup and support for internal and external sales personnel/s to maintain good service levels  Provide consulting support to Order Entry Analyst or Order Management when processing an order Achieve targets on productivity, service levels, and quality Perform other duties as required

You quickly adapt to systems and different tools and you are able to articulate concerns, ideas and needs

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering such as Electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, Chemical, Industrial Chemistry Experience: 1 -2 year of sales related customer service experience is preferred Language: Portuguese language (Intermediate - Advance) and English (BasicIntermediate) are required  Solid prioritizing and organizational skills along with being a self-starter   Solid keyboard skills and a strong proficiency for using Windows & MS Office applications is a must  Has an interest in the mix of technical, customer service, and sales  Willing to work on flexible shift schedule based on business needs  Work Location: Residing in Costa Rica.
