Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for the sales of scientific products and services via telephone, email, and other digital methods within a defined territory. Accountable for serving customers engaged in research and development, as well as quality assurance labs. Maintains effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.

Your responsibilities:

Develop a rounded understanding of the value proposition of Thermo Fisher Scientific, developing pricing and marketing knowledgeImplements tactical sales plansAchieve or exceed the territory sales plan by maintaining existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts and conducting cold calls to develop new accountsDevelop and maintain effective customer relationships with purchasing and end user contacts within assigned territory.Apply available resources to meet customer needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams of suppliers and internal resources.Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone, but also face-to-face when required.Employ SFDC and other Company tools to outline customer interactions, develop the territory plan pipeline, and improve territory coverage.Ensure Marketing leads are actioned quickly and effectively, providing feedback on lead quality where vitalBoost selling time and efficiently assign non-sales related tasks.Connect with manager any customer issues or potential problems; perform other tasks assigned by manager.Exhibit self-leadership: organized, prioritization, self-motivatedAlways positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific during any customer interactions.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Proven sales experience either in sales or customer service, preferably in scientific industryBachelor’s degree (science degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.Computer proficiency in MS Office and the Web along with use of sales force softwareMust possess the interpersonal skills to multi-task and meet timelines as neededPharmaceutical and science background preferredDriver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations and attend regional as well as national meetingsFluent English language knowledgeConfident personality, able to successfully connect with customers across a variety of settings including one-to-one meetings, exhibitions and formal presentations, across all sectors in which we operate.Ability to work adeptly with multiple collaborators, to handle both challenging requirements and concurrent project activity.Perform your duties efficiently whilst acting in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.Consistently maintaining a professional appearance and approach when taking care of customers and collaborating with others is encouraged.Travel 10-20% of their time, to establish relationships with valued customers in larger accounts. This will be agreed on a case by case basis, depending on the customers and geography.
