Inpatient Wound Care RN
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose:** At **Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center** , an Inpatient Wound Care RN plays a critical role in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex wounds. This includes pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and other skin integrity issues. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing and prevent complications. **What You Will Do:** + Assess and evaluate patient wounds to develop and implement individualized care plans. + Perform wound care procedures, including cleaning, dressing, and debridement. + Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. **Minimum Qualifications:** **Required** : + Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing. + Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut. **Preferred** : + Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). + Ideal candidates will have 3 or more years of wound care nursing experience in an inpatient acute hospital setting. + Wound care certification (e.g., WCC®) or willingness to obtain certification post-hire. + BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) — certification support available post-hire. + Familiarity with evidence-based wound care protocols and pressure injury prevention strategies. **Position Highlights:** Full-Time: 32 hrs/week **Ministry/Facility Information:** Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center has been an anchor institution in Connecticut since 1897.
