At Fugro, we develop innovative equipment and software to support Marine Site Characterization and Marine Asset Integrity. Our Starfix Suite is essential for data acquisition, positioning, and navigation on offshore projects, while our GNSS products deliver high-accuracy positioning through proprietary solutions.
This role is based at the Fugro Innovation Centre in Nootdorp and involves collaboration with teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. It’s ideal for someone who thrives both independently and in a team environment.
Your Role
Provide operational support to offshore projects by troubleshooting issues and advising on product usage and best practices
Manage the service desk, respond to user queries, and contribute to the knowledge base through documentation
Participate in testing and releasing the Starfix Suite, GNSS products, and Geodesy solutions to ensure high-quality software releases
Develop test cases and scenarios that reflect real-world usage of our software and systems
Collaborate closely with software and firmware developers, acting as a bridge between users and the development team
Identify and propose product improvements to enhance stability, efficiency, and usability
Occasionally support the Product Manager in defining user stories and milestones
Be open to occasional travel to project locations when needed
Your Track RecordA BSc or higher degree in Surveying, Hydrography, Geomatics, Geodesy, or equivalent practical field experience
At least 2+ years of relevant marine offshore experience across various survey projects (e.g., geophysical, construction support, IRM)
Experience with GNSS systems and the ability to support related technical requests
Practical knowledge of geodesy and its application in offshore environments
A strong affinity for IT, data acquisition, and software troubleshooting, including databases and infrastructure
Excellent communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and a structured approach to work
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Bonus Points If You HaveExperience with survey vessel mobilizations
Familiarity with Starfix Suite or similar offshore positioning software
A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in marine technology
