About the Role:
Support digital transformation, accelerating the use of digital and AI through offering solutions toward best use of our data. Accelerate things further with exposure of Industrial (OT) and Enterprise (IT) data via data products underpinned by a Data Strategy, Management Plans and customer priorities. The future of data operations has started as we now work to build and expose Data Products on the Company Surface Data Hub (Azure Microsoft, Cognite, Inmation).
As the Imation Industrial Data Fabric (IIDF) Product Owner within the Data Exposure & Products team, you will collaborate, to establish the Product Roadmap and manage the Product Backlog within an AGILE process ensuring OT data (and potentially IT Data) is exposed either directly for Realtime Product usage or as consolidated Data Products. You will also lead the strategic vision and roadmap for industrial data products using Inmation Data Fabric for data coming from industrial systems (OPC server, ICSS, PLC packages) by collaborating with stakeholders to transform real-time and event log data (OPC, ICSS, PLC) into certified, high-value products supporting oil & gas exploration and refinery units in production optimization and operational excellence.
This position is a blend of business, value and performance leaderships with technical solutioning. You will manage the internal product vision and propel technical solutions to enterprise maturity. You will work within a teams of dedicated data individuals holding competencies in Software, IT, Data Engineering, Dev Ops, Product Ownership and Analytics.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for industrial data products using Inmation Data Fabric for data coming from industrial systems (OPC server, ICSS, PLC packages)Acts as a point of contact for the cross functional teams including the business stakeholders, Software, IT, Data Engineering, Dev Ops, Product Ownership and Analytics, external service companies and partners, taking accountability for data coming from industrial systems (OPC server, ICSS, PLC packages) and to ensure the delivery excellence and deliver accessible tools supporting Exploration and Refinery units in production optimization and operational excellence.Be accountable for maximising the value of the IIDF and associated products resulting from the work of the Development Teams Accountable for the effective Product Backlog Management: To succeed, the entire organisation must respect you and your decisions, as the Product Owner is one person, not a committee Foster collaboration and communication between Operations, digital and key organisational stakeholders. Contribute to the technical development of data governance (Data Cataloguing, ect…) and data observability and data quality standards. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and drive continuous improvement within the team.Developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal; Creating and clearly communicating Product Backlog Items Ordering Product Backlog Items Ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understoodWork Experience
Qualifications & Skills Required:
>12 years’ experience with degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Industrial Control Systems (DCS, OPC, SCADA, PLCs) in a Field Operations role5+ years of experience in Data Engineer role and experience in industrial data technologies and frameworksCertification in data engineering or related fields is advantageousExperience in data engineering – Experience in Oil and Gas Exploration Production and Refining sites is preferredHigh level of knowledge of industrial systems (PI, Inmation, …) and real-time and event log data (OPC, ICSS, PLC) and very good knowledge of IT environments. High level of knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack (including Azure, M365, Power Platform, etc) Ability to understand the wider business context in defining technical and data requirements Good knowledge of engineering disciplines, platform facilities and operations.Significant project management experience with the capacity to manage complex projects and activities, with full project lifecycle activities: design, development, testing, deployment and production support Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging digital information and technology trends Excellent interpersonal skills are required with the ability to effectively influence stakeholder relationships. Methodical, with the ability to manage technical and data requirements and deliver within tight deadlines.
