The Opportunity:

Kent are seeking an Injury Management, Health & Wellbeing Advisor to join our Ampol Future Fuels project in Brisbane. This role is responsible for supporting the promotion and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment for employees. This includes program areas such as occupational health, fitness for work, injury/illness prevention, rehabilitation and return to work, health screening and health management processes. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as employees, managers, healthcare professionals and insurance providers to implement effective programs and initiatives. You will also provide guidance and support to all stakeholders on Kent occupational health programs and throughout the injury management process, ensuring timely and appropriate care.


Your Responsibilities:

Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing, and raise awareness about best practices for injury/illness preventionConduct regular assessments of workplace hazards and develop strategies to minimise the risk of injuries and illnessImplement HSSE training, programs and initiatives pertaining to occupational health, safety and wellbeingEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to workplace safety, injury management, workers’ compensationCoordinate Return to Work Plans, Health Management Plans, and associated processes, based on medical adviceAssist in overall development, coordination and implementation of Kent occupational health and wellbeing programs to support employees’ physical and psychosocial wellbeing, and fitness for workReview pre-employment medical information and coordinate job task profiling (both physical and psychological aspects)Incorporate psychosocial risk management into systems, applying guidelines and validated processesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to organise management plans, education, training and other initiatives related to physical/psychosocial wellbeing and fitness for workAct as a point of contact to provide guidance/ resources to employees seeking assistance with health and wellbeing

About You:

Our ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Allied Health or a related field with relevant certification in Rehabilitation and Return to Work and preferably construction-related certifications such as White Card. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and the ability to effectively engage and support stakeholders will be some of the core competencies that we are looking form with solid knowledge of injury management, workers’ compensation and occupational health legislation.
