Responsibilities

 

Promote and ensure a SAFE working environment.  This includes ensuring 100% involvement of team members in reporting on leading indicators(near misses, first aids, CARs, etc) Ensure housekeeping standards are being met and/or being exceeded.Ensure the company’s Quality Vision Statement is understood and adhered to.Oversee the training programs for employees on shift.Accomplish departmental goals set by Management and the Supervisor.Trained to handle emergency situations (fire, inclement weather, accidents, etc.)Maintain a positive professional working relationship with all employees including all support departments.  Lead, inspire, encourage, and empower.Trained to deal with personnel issues ensuring company policy is followedComplete Front Line Leadership training.Be fully engaged on the floor identifying and correcting issues regarding safety, quality, & productionOversee in conjunction with Human Resources all staffing needs, hiring, replacing full time and temporary employees. Manage and direct creative staffing schedules in conjunction with business demand.Handle personnel issues in a professional and respectful manner.Work with Q.A., Machine Maintenance, and Tool Room to identify and correct issues.Use available data to identify and correct problems.Enter, adjust and approve time in Kronos (our time system)Lead by example.Strong interpersonal skills.Participate on teams.All other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications

 

Strong Leadership abilities (lead, motivate, and direct employees)Excellent written and verbal communication Impeccable organizationSound decision making abilitiesAbility to handle personnel issues (defuse, counsel, show empathy)Analytical problem solving skills High School diploma or GED equivalent

 

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to lift 35 pounds regularlyAbility to climb up and down laddersMust be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop and stretch regularlyAbility to work around grease, oil and solvents without adverse reactionMust be able to differentiate color Contact
