Position Summary: The Sourcing Manager, Ingredients is a crucial member of Grupo Bimbo’s North America Procurement Team. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, ensuring supply assurance, managing supplier relationships, driving productivity projects, and supporting innovation launches. The Sourcing Manager will work closely with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the best price, quality, and service for Bimbo. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager will collaborate with the Global Procurement team to assist in the achievement of company objectives. Key Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned ingredient categories, aligning with business goals and market trendsConduct market analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate risksMaintain a robust contingency plan to ensure supply continuity in case of disruptionsLead cross-functional teams to drive category strategy and achieve cost savingsBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and continuous improvementNegotiate contracts, including pricing, terms, and conditions, to secure the best value for the companyEnsure compliance with corporate policies, including necessary quality and food safety documentationIdentify and implement cost-savings initiatives and process improvements within the supply chainLead productivity projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and effective executionCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including material management, quality assurance, technical services, and research & development to support new product development and innovation initiativesEnsure timely sourcing and availability of ingredients for product launchesDevelop and execute supplier development programs to enhance performance and collaboration, fostering a culture of continuous improvement among suppliersParticipate in global projects, sustainability initiatives, and other projects as assignedAbility to travel when necessary for supplier visits, industry events, and corporate meetings Key Behavioral Competencies: Self-directed, self-motivated, and detail-orientedStrong analytical, prioritization and decision-making skills Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communications, and presentation skillsStrong problem solving skillsExperience managing and measuring work Track record of building strong peer and stakeholder relationshipsAbility to establish project objectives, checkpoints and timelines to meet project tasks and expectationsAbility to exchange complex information effectively to reach agreement in ambiguous or difficult negotiationsAbility to manage multiple and competing priorities to the many ongoing projects Strong leadership & interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholdersPersuasive ‘change agent’ capable of challenging conventional wisdomAbility to multi-task and coordinate initiatives in a remote team environmentHigh energy and passion Education and Work History: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or similarCSM, CPSM, and/or PMP certification desiredAt least 5-7 years of experience in Procurement, preferably managing IngredientsDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, and contract managementKnowledge of ERP / Office Suite Systems / Expertise in Excel and Power Point
