Who will you be working with?

As part of the manufacturing team, you will be working with people that manage the plant's manufacturing processes to make each part and assembly used in the manufacturing of Wabtec's leading mining locomotives and trucks.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for

managing the plant's manufacturing processes and the products we produce from conception to shipment to our customers.

To feed our management system with the bills of materials and quantities used to make each product.

To design and manufacture the tooling and fixtures necessary to produce each part and assemblies efficiently.

To provide engineering support to our manufacturing assembly lines.

What do we want to know about you?

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, mechatronics or similar engineering careers.

What will your typical day look like?

Define and control production processes including tooling and fixtures.Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting.Works together with business leadership at all levels.Delivers products as part of a team.Works on cross functional teams. Alternatively, leads activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.Product knowledgeComplete support to production department through all the productive shifts as needed.Full interaction through the whole NPI process with Engineering Design and final Customers.Communication through meetings and conferences with Engineering Design and Customers through the whole NPI process.MDR´s, NCMR´s, PCR´s, knowledge and execution.PPAP requirements (MI´s, CCP´s, etc)Engineering Changes deployment and administration.Search for alternative materials usage previous negotiation and approval from Engineering Design based on available or not available materials.Create the required Cinergy at all levels through the involved areas to achieve the established goals.Complete leadership for NPI´s introduction from concept to shipment. Cost out projects execution (focus on labor savings). Active participation through the development and certification of salary personnel.Active participation with Lean department on line design, process flow and cycle times.Budget and materials for fixtures administration (quotes, orders, war room, inventories, etc)Mentoring and coaching for new ME´s.
