**INGENIERO DE INSTRUMENTACIÓN SENIOR**
**Objectives:**
+ Act as a technical leader, responsible for the correct specification and sizing of field instrumentation and valves required to operate process equipment per client specifications, industry standards and guidelines.
+ Act as a Subject Matter Expert during the project execution, guiding and advising the project to resolve design issues.
+ Assist other execution centers with design and troubleshooting issues, Key Indicators
**Activities:**
+ Demonstrate command of most technical skills and principles within the field of instrumentation.
+ Evaluate customer specifications to confirm design compliance for the application. Review customer specifications to match specifications or clearly define differences (clarifications or exceptions list).
+ Provide cost estimates for instrumentation, valves, specialty items, spare parts, field instruments and hookup and control systems for proposals within the scope of supply and client specifications.
+ Review P&IDs to confirm correct instrumentation symbol and control scheme, confirm sizes for control valve, relief valve, flow element, and mounting nozzles for instrumentation.
+ Able to work independently as an individual contributor. Demonstrate a technical understanding of area classification and the ability to select the appropriate protection method for classified instruments and panels.
+ Recommend, specify and prepare requisitions for inquiry and purchase of instrumentation and valves.
+ Perform control valve sizing, relief valve sizing, flow element sizing.
+ Recommend control valves, level instruments, flow instruments, and manual valves best suited for applications.
+ Participate in client or internal HAZOP
+ Coordinate with Engineering Department to identify equipment that requires spare parts per SLB requirements or client specifications. Prepare project commissioning and operation of spare parts lists.
+ Provide installation instructions and dimensional drawings during vessel/piping design, and fabrication phases.
+ Review and approve subcontractor field instrument and electrical hookup scope, and ensure scope meets client specifications or SLB standards.
+ Able to participate in FAT / SAT / ISAT.
+ Perform Peer Reviews of team design work and technical support for trouble shooting. Able to work with fabricator/contractor and provide solutions for technical site related queries during construction/commissioning, Interfaces, Prior Experience/Expertise Required.
**Education Qualification:**
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical / Electronic/ Control & instrumentation Engineering Experience:
+ 10-12 years Industry experience
+ Prior work experience in Production Facility Engineering, Management of Construction suppliers, Site Engineering support for Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and startup activities
**Expertise:**
+ Oil & Gas Facilities Engineering and Construction. Strong knowledge of instrumentation and electrical design codes (ISA, NEC, API, IEC, ATEX, ASME, NACE, etc.)
+ Strong computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Site commissioning experience.
+ Familiar with Lifecycle Information Management Systems (Aveva, SPIIntools)
+ Experience and/or certifications in IECE x CoPC, Functional Safety.
+ Instrumentation Sizing tools, Navis 3Dmodel review
