Job Title: MV/HV Electrical Engineer
Location: Montreal, QC (Frequent travel required)
About the Role
Our client, a major player in mission-critical infrastructure development, is seeking an MV/HV Electrical Engineer to support the design, implementation, and reliability of power systems in high-availability environments.
Job Benefits

• Competitive salary: 130k to 150k annually depending on experience
• Day schedule: 9 AM to 5 PM, hybrid 3 days at the office

Key Responsibilities
• Design and optimize MV/HV electrical systems (5kV to 132kV) for data centers.
• Create and review electrical drawings, specs, and calculations (load, short-circuit, arc flash, grounding).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, CSA, NFPA, RBQ, etc.).
• Coordinate with Hydro-Québec and utilities for grid connection.
• Select critical electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, UPS, breakers).
• Support construction teams during installation and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve power distribution issues.
• Ensure redundancy, safety, and continuity in electrical infrastructure.
• Optimize energy performance and system reliability.
Profile
• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in MV/HV power systems and critical environments.
• Skilled in ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, MATLAB.
• Strong knowledge of protection systems, relay coordination, SCADA.
• Professional engineer designation (OIQ, PEO or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bilingual (French and English) preferred.
• Willing to travel frequently (USA) as required.
