Infusion Pharmacy Reimbursement Specialist, under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

Responsible for creating and confirming work orders and invoices.Convert dispensed doses to correct HCPC codes units for billing, verifies and ensures correct NDC numbers and quantities are utilized for billing.Verify patient eligibility for Medicare billing for drugs, requests authorization based on HCPC units for each drug and tracks delivery tickets.Responsible for cost and AWP updates and addition for new drugs in the system with correct HCPC codes and units.Responsible for processing credit card payments and assists in tracking of equipment.

Required Qualifications:

High School Graduate or Equivalent GED3 years of Infusion BillingIn-depth knowledge of coverage issues with respect to different payor sources. Able to negotiate charges for indigent, private pay etc. Able to work closely with billing department to answer questions and verify insurance as requested.
