Infusion AR/Collections Representative
Description We are looking for a highly skilled REMOTE Infusion AR/Collections Representative to join a large healthcare organization. This long-term contract position involves managing accounts receivable, addressing claim denials, and ensuring timely reimbursement from both government and commercial payers. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in medical billing and collections, with expertise in navigating complex healthcare systems and payer-specific guidelines. Responsibilities: • Follow up on aged claims to ensure timely resolution and payment from government and commercial payers. • Identify and categorize denial reasons, reviewing insurance coverage and authorization details. • Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation, tracking progress until resolution. • Work claims through the entire collections cycle, maintaining accurate records of all actions taken. • Analyze and address claim denials or rejections, escalating issues when necessary. • Communicate effectively with payers, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing concerns. • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and payer-specific requirements. • Utilize medical billing systems and clearinghouses to manage claims efficiently. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline the collections process and improve outcomes. • Maintain detailed documentation of follow-up activities within designated systems. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing and collections, preferably with infusion services. • Familiarity with healthcare billing systems such as Epic Software and Waystart. • Strong knowledge of payer-specific guidelines and healthcare regulations. • Ability to analyze claim denials and develop effective resolution strategies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with payers and internal teams. • Proficiency in handling aged claims and navigating the collections cycle. • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and documentation skills. • Experience with systems like HealthCare.gov, Home Health, Hospice, and NIS is a plus.
