The Opportunity:

We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives. 

 

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Infrastructure Technician, Journeyman. This position is in support of USAREUR-AF Mission Partner ARS, located in MK - Constanta, Romania.  This position is required to travel OCONUS.  This position is located OCONUS. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Supports installation, management, and repair of IT site physical infrastructure, including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), generators, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), electrical power supplies, controlled environmental vaults, and cable plants 

Installs and sets up prefabricated communications shelters, which house cables, conduits, and other IT equipment and materials 

Possesses and applies practical knowledge of National Electric Contractors Association (NECA)/Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) standards 

Installs, tests, and maintains secure and non-secure voice, video, data, and RF cable infrastructure IAW NECA/BICSI 568 standards and Garrison or host nation standards 

Installs, tests, and maintains Protective Distribution Systems (PDSs) 

Installs, tests, and maintains Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) telecommunications cabling systems 

Supports identifying OSP cable, material, and hardware for repair and replaces and removes excess and unserviceable OSP cables 

Supports resolving incidents and problems  

Possesses and applies a practical knowledge across tasks and assignments 

Works autonomously with little supervision  

Qualifications: 

Required:  

Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to maintain 

BA/BS + 4-7 years recent experience 

Possesses practical experience in installing, managing, and repairing IT site physical infrastructure, such as UPS, generators, HVAC, and cable plants.  

Knowledgeable of relevant standards, preferably NECA/BICSI standards, with ability to apply this knowledge to secure and non-secure voice, video, data, and RF cable infrastructure installations.  

Exhibits proficiency in setting up prefabricated communications shelters and maintaining Protective Distribution Systems and telecommunications cabling systems.  

Showcases ability to work autonomously, resolving incidents and problems with minimal supervision where possible.  

Able to apply practical knowledge across various tasks, including outside plant cable identification, repair, and replacement.  

Demonstrates adaptability to work within Garrison or host nation standards while maintaining industry best practices. 

 

 Desired:  

Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs 

Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards 

Experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches 

Experience with DoD IT security requirements

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$43,500-$86,900
