Infrastructure Specialist - Red Hat Platform

**CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist – Red Hat Platform opening for our client in Chicago, IL.**
**Location:** Remote
**Duration:** 3 months
**Duties:**
+ Implement and manage Red Hat OpenShift-based infrastructure solutions in alignment with established designs.
+ Set up, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters, storage, networking, and databases to support enterprise applications.
+ Configure and maintain OpenShift resources such as namespaces, Persistent Volumes, and Network Policies.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot OpenShift infrastructure, ensuring high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) readiness.
+ Apply and enforce security measures to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
+ Optimize infrastructure usage by right-sizing resources, monitoring cost, and implementing cost-effective solutions.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to integrate OpenShift infrastructure into existing enterprise environments.
+ Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and orchestration.
**Skills:**
+ Deep proficiency with Red Hat OpenShift services, including OpenShift Container Platform, OpenShift Virtualization, and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM).
+ Strong Linux system administration skills (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred).
+ Expertise with VMware environments.
+ Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster management through OpenShift.
+ Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
+ Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies.
+ Strong understanding of HA, DR, security, and compliance frameworks.
+ Experience in cloud migration and hybrid cloud solutions.
**Experience:**
+ Demonstrated experience managing and implementing OpenShift-based infrastructure.
+ Proven track record of troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining containerized environments.
+ Experience supporting enterprise-scale deployments and integrations with existing systems.
+ Background in developing and executing cloud migration projects.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
+ Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
+ Red Hat certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration) strongly desired.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
