Infrastructure Specialist - DevOps
CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist – DevOps opening for our client in Chicago, IL. Location: Remote Duration: 3 months Duties: Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications across multi-cloud environments including Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Red Hat platforms. Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and create sandbox environments for testing and validation. Administer hybrid cloud environments, configure high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies, and manage Kubernetes clusters with Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO. Monitor SLAs, service health, and performance metrics, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with development and architecture teams to identify, implement, and integrate tools for performance monitoring, code quality, and coverage measurement. Define quality gates and ensure compliance within CI/CD pipelines. Migrate and manage virtualized environments using Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring high availability, load balancing, and security compliance across on-premises, public cloud, and as-a-service deployments. Skills: Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CRIO, and container orchestration. Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent). Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar). Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and HA/DR best practices. Expertise with Red Hat OpenShift for managing hybrid and multi-cloud workloads. Ability to work collaboratively across development, architecture, and infrastructure teams. Experience: Hands-on experience with multi-cloud platforms (Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Red Hat). Proven track record in managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads. Experience in hybrid cloud infrastructure administration and virtualized environment migration. Previous experience integrating performance, quality, and monitoring tools within CI/CD pipelines. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Multi-cloud and Red Hat certifications strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
