Infrastructure Engineer III- Lean/Industrial

 As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase in Infrastructure Platforms, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.
This role partners with Network Services and Workplace Technology Product Delivery teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable solutions that drive alignment, speed, quality and cost optimization. Job responsibilities

 

Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applicationsResolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation pathExecutes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problemsDrives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applicationsPartners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statusesConsiders upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implicationsBe accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on Infrastructure Engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceStrong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessmentsExperience in Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, value stream design, or a relevant domain area.Possess a strong understanding of global supply chain management and analyze processes to identify and implement improvementsKnowledge of continuous improvement tools, systems thinking and capacity planning.Experience in product or platform-wide release management, in addition to deployment processes and strategies Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsDrives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledgePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices, with a background in industrial, lean, or manufacturing engineeringExperience working with international teams and understanding of global supply chain dynamicsStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions for process improvement and experience in lean product delivery
