 Job responsibilities

 

Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applicationsResolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation pathExecutes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problemsDrives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applicationsPartners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statusesConsiders upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implicationsBe accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applicationsAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification in Infra engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.Hands on experience in Linux,UNIX and Windows, application/middleware support knowledge.Experience with Automation and Configuration tools like Ansible/Puppet/Chef .Experience with scripting & programming languages like Python/Java.Experience in handling critical application outages in an large scale operations & driving root cause analysis and remediation.Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting and responding - relative to performance and availability of application, using tools such as Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Splunk.Experience with Jenkins, GIT and CI/CD pipelines, Agile and Scrum practices.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsUnderstanding of concepts and principles behind DevOps and SRE.Familiar with cloud Engineering & understanding of private cloud principles and exposure to public cloud offerings such as AWS/Azure/Google cloud or similar technology is preferred
