**What You’ll Be Doing**
As a member of CIBC’s US Infrastructure Planning and Engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in designing, managing, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes data centers, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage systems, automation tools, and disaster recovery strategies. You will drive the adoption of cloud technologies like Azure and AVS, while also leveraging automation to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
You will collaborate with your manager and product owner to understand priorities and execute on plans to maintain and modernize the infrastructure.
Develop and implement strategies to transition workloads to cloud platforms like Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and native Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You lead the design, implementation, and administration of infrastructure solutions, including virtualization platforms, storage systems, and physical servers. You drive automation initiatives using tools like Ansible and Terraform to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. You also manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including data centers, disaster recovery strategies, and service continuity plans. Additionally, you oversee the lifecycle management of Windows Server and Linux RHEL images, ensuring systems remain up to date and secure. Although not owning Active Directory services, manage these services in the US Region to service the users withing US infrastructure, including user accounts, group policies, and security management. You manage supporting any infrastructure services such as Exchange server and SMTP relay services, ensuring support of business processes, and system integrity, monitor and optimize storage systems, ensuring efficient data storage, backup, and disaster recovery processes. You also provide technical expertise in evaluating, selecting, and implementing physical server technologies and cloud-based solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices; Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation and lead and mentor a team of infrastructure professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

**How You’ll Succeed**
**Leadership & Communication -** Act as a technical leader, providing advisory and expertise to ensure projects meet objectives. Collaborate with senior leaders across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance infrastructure solutions. Support team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating, and problem-solving. Communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, including executive leadership.
**Governance -** Proactively contribute to governance initiatives in the development of company policies, audit requirements, and compliance with security standards and disaster recovery policies. Provide technical or business guidance to clients within and outside your department.
**Engineering & Innovation** - Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques. Support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options. Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes. Manage the ongoing vitality of the technology throughout its lifecycle, with a focus on cloud adoption and automation.
**Who You Are**
You can demonstrate 8+ years of experience in:
+ Infrastructure management, preferably in a leadership role.
+ Experience in an Enterprise environment adhering to delivery frameworks, and use of enterprise tools for day-to-day management such as ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA
+ Design, solution, implementation, and support of technologies and technology-based solutions across cloud platforms, virtualization, storage systems, and automation tools.
+ Cloud technologies, including Azure VMware Solution (AVS), native Azure, and DevOps practices.
+ Automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, with a focus on streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
+ VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, VCF, VxRail, NSX-T, HCX, vSAN, Horizon, and VDI.
+ Active Directory administration, group policies, and security management.
+ Managing the roadmap and lifecycle of server based images (Windows and Linux RHEL), hardening, patching and compliance
+ Engineering of SQL design/solution/implementation, and support
+ Exchange server and SMTP relay services.
+ EMC/DELL storage systems, data storage optimization, and Commvault/Rubrik backup/recovery strategies.
+ Physical server technologies, server virtualization, and related hardware components.
+ Disaster recovery, backup and restore, and service continuity strategies and plans.
You have:
+ Strong knowledge of IT Standards, Policies, and Procedures, with the ability to administer and apply them appropriately.
+ First-hand experience working on technologies such as Linux, Windows, VMware Cloud Foundation, SCCM, and Microsoft Active Directory.
+ Strength in SQL design, disaster recovery, and failover solutions for supporting critical business applications
+ Familiarity with VMware Aria Operations, Log Insight, and Network Insight for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
+ Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, EMC) as an asset.
+ Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification (required by October 31, 2025).
+ AI Fundamentals (AI-900) certification (an asset).

_At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range_ _of $120,000 - $140,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus co_ _mponent.
