DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Interact with multiple technologists in the company and within the industry as well as between the developers, development managers, and product managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Responsible for the technical direction on API gateway implementation. Provide architectural guidance for API & Application development across teams, helping teams understand how to leverage the API gateway to their benefit and promote best practices. Coordination between US and APAC team on daily basis in order to work 24/7. Provide proper handover to APAC team by end of day and assign work to team as per project plan and complete proper handshake next day morning to understand work status and completeness of the task and help resolve issues. Build knowledge transfer document and conduct knowledge sharing sessions between team to understand application lifecycle and storing knowledge. Work on automation task of all possible manual task to enhance the current activities and toil-reduction. Customer support based on tickets, incidents created, office hours and handling the production based on priority. Involve in audit and farm findings analysis and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Technical Lead, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Working with Apigee Edge or Apigee X, including its architecture, components, and capabilities; Working with Apigee's management APIs, developer portal, and analytics; one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go; working with scripting languages including Bash and Shell; Linux/Unix systems and administration; monitoring tools including AppD, Grafana, and APICA; logging and tracing tools including ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Splunk; CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Jules; infrastructure as code (IaC) tools including Terraform and Ansible; networking concepts, protocols, and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and load balancing; network troubleshooting and performance tuning; relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Cassandra; database performance tuning and optimization; Agile methodologies and tools including JIRA and ServiceNow; and Implementing and maintaining SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for API services.
