**About the role** As an Infra. Architect you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust infrastructure solutions. With a focus on Windows and Cassandra you will ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of day shifts allowing you to balance work and personal commitments effectively. **In this role you will be:** Install configure and maintain DataStax Apache Cassandra clusters Monitor database performance and optimize queries Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies Ensure data security compliance and integrity across distributed systems Perform routine maintenance upgrades and patching Collaborate with development teams on data modelling and schema design Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues Automate administrative tasks using scripting eg Bash Python Manage user access roles and permissions Document database configurations procedures and best practices Proven experience as DataStax Apache Cassandra Administrator or similar role Strong understanding of NoSQL databases especially Apache Cassandra Familiarity with Cassandra architecture replication and consistency models Proficiency in LinuxUnix environments Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus Grafana or DataStax OpsCenter Scripting skills in Bash Python or similar languages Knowledge of data modelling and partitioning strategies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills **Work Model:** At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs. The base annual salary for this position is between $73,350 to $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
