Infrastructure Applications and Tools Manager

Relocation and sponsorship costs are also not approved for this position.** **The official title of this position will be Mgr, IT - Service Delivery. **** **Job Summary/Purpose** Within IT's Workplace and Infrastructure Services department, the Infrastructure Applications team provides multiple critical enterprise services. We support a wide range of tools to provide monitoring, batch control, DevSecOps, database, capacity planning, and other services to the enterprise. (The scope of this position will include all aforementioned services with the exception of database operations.) The service delivery manager over this group would be responsible for leading co-sourced teams consisting of both employees and contracted resources. This manager will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the services provided by their teams as well as managing and optimizing all costs associated with those services. Working closely with other teams in a multi-vendor, multi-shore environment, the manager must help to foster cooperation between teams to solve complex problems and continuously improve customer experience. Significant strategic objectives on the horizon for this group include: + Modernization of the enterprise monitoring landscape + Establishment of capabilities for offering our suite of services in a hybrid on-prem/multi-cloud environment + Rationalization of legacy tools in light of evolving enterprise needs The primary tools supported by this group include: + Broadcom (CA) toolsets (e.g., DX AIOps, NetOps, Spectrum, UIM, Nimsoft, DX APM, DX Dashboards, etc.) + Broadcom (CA) Workload Automation (Autosys) + xMatters + DevOps tools: Cloudbees CI (formerly Jenkins), Subversion, JFrog Artifactory, Apache Maven, Helm + Splunk + BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimizer (TSCO) **Education, Experience, and/or Certification:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree a plus. Significant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. + 8+ years of experience managing/designing technology solutions, with particular emphasis on monitoring/observability and DevOps solutions. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. + Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture/design principles (e.g., application, server, and network design as well as SDLC principles and best practices). + Demonstrated ability to lead a geographically distributed and diverse team. + Demonstrated ability to appropriately prioritize and manage workloads in a remote environment. + Demonstrated experience guiding/managing IT projects in an outsourced development environment. + Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. + AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, or other relevant certifications are considered a plus. + Experience managing and/or designing technology solutions in a cloud environment is a strong plus (particularly AWS). **Key Responsibilities** + This position will require occasional after-hours support and management of on-call rosters which include both employees and contracted support resources. + Support major events as part of the Incident Management process by providing strong leadership to support resources and clear communications to stakeholders. + Ensure vulnerabilities throughout our application fleet are managed in accordance with established policies/procedures. + Ensure quality root cause investigations and effective remediation efforts for all problems identified in aligned technologies. + Oversee all aspects of compliance efforts and ensure a strong control environment is maintained (e.g., SOX, security, regulatory compliance, etc.). + Oversee all aspects of daily operations and ongoing project work (with the assistance of SMEs, project managers, and program managers). + Maintain an accurate cost forecast and adhere to budget targets (includes software/hardware licensing/support, payroll/expense forecasting, outsourcer contract management, and project cost management). + Provide leadership to proactive hardware/software licensing optimization efforts. + Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in order to develop and execute against a multi-year strategic roadmap. + Cultivate an environment of cooperation and continuous improvement and maintain constructive working relationships with customers across the enterprise. + Maintain strong business relationships with our strategic partners and service providers. **The following skills and** **technologies are considered a strong plus:** + ServiceNow (Incident, Request, and Configuration Management) + Process automation + Continuous Improvement methodologies + Database design and operations + Application Performance Monitoring (APM) experience + Experience with application or infrastructure development, support, or monitoring within major cloud platform(s) (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.) + Splunk platform administration or power user experience (e.g., dashboard design, installation, index management, etc.) + DevSecOps or FinOps toolsets + Enterprise Architecture + Capacity Management and Infrastructure Automation \#LI-TR1 \#LI-HYBRID **Primary Location:** Louisiana-New Orleans Louisiana : New Orleans || Arkansas : Little Rock || Mississippi : Jackson || Texas : The Woodlands **Job Function** : Information Technology **FLSA Status** : Professional **Relocation Option:** No Relocation Offered **Union description/code** : NON BARGAINING UNIT **Number of Openings** : 1 **Req ID:** 119558 **Travel Percentage** :Up to 25% An Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
