Summary Description:
Under general supervision, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of assigned information technology projects and product enhancements from inception to delivery. Leads multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external groups. Attends cross functional and technical lead meetings for weekly status updates. Works on effort estimation, project timeline, resource requirements, and budgeting. Responsible for collaborating closely with functional and technical teams during design and implementation functionalities to support the various stakeholders across the district. Ensures project scope is clearly defined, reasonable budget, timelines are established for the given scope, and project is resourced effectively to deliver the solution within the established budget and timeline. Leads the project plan, deliverables, dependencies, risks and mitigation plans. Run the day-to-day project activities including scope, conflicting priorities, issue escalations, status reporting, and meeting facilitations. Ensures clear and consistent messaging to manage expectations and maintain project transparency. Solution design, work with development team, complete unit testing, integration testing. Support user acceptance testing, project cut-over, go-live, and post go-live activities. Work on issue resolution during unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Ensures that project deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements before final implementation. Proactive in approach, focus on innovation, and the ability to learn new technologies.Physical Demands:Position is required to work at computer workstations for sustained periods of time.Special Requirements:Non-compensated overtime, especially during peak periods and when urgent work requirements exist.

Education Training Experience:
Bachelor^s degree from an accredited university required. Courses or major in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management or four years of professional-level relevant experience. Six years of information technology experience including four years or more experience in managing IT projects. Proven experience in the design and delivery of business applications including the software development life cycle, project management life cycle, database, programming, and network technologies; and quality assurance practices. Experience with communicating and translating technical and non-technical requirements to the team, stakeholders, and leadership. Experience with automated and manual testing of software applications. Experience with writing documentation to include requirements documents, user manuals, design documents, project plans, and workflows. Experience in creating and managing project roadmaps. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and standards. Experience in presenting to all levels of an organization.Certificate License:Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
